Notting Hill Geoconsulting is renowned for its customer centric, creative and thorough approach to help you getting the most value out of your seismic and geoscience data and to reduce your pre-drill uncertainty - whether for on- or offshore oil, gas and helium exploration. We also provide tailor-made in-house training courses for specialist topics like advanced 3D seismic interpretation, AVO analysis, Depth Conversion, Prospect and DHI risking and Seismic attribute analysis
We pride ourselves to offer our proprietary multi-attribute 3D seismic interpretation work flows, which allows us to reveal the most subtle structural and stratigraphic features and which is especially effective in poor data areas and for structurally complex settings including salt. Techniques include Spectral decomposition, multi-seismic attribute analysis, AVO Crossplotting and Classification and Extended Elastic Impedance. We are expert users of Cegal Blueback, Geoteric, Hampson Russel, Petrel, Kingdom, DUG Insight and OpendTect.
We offer independent expert advise on oil and gas exploration and new ventures opportunities. We can provide prospect mapping, generation and evaluation services. We also perform probabilistic volumes calculation and prospect risking for farm-in / farm-out data rooms, licensing rounds or asset sales. We are expert users of GeoX, Rose MMRA and SAAM, Logicom Rep and GoExplore Prospector.
We provide detailed ‘geohazard’ risk assessment and well path optimisation for planned drill-sites including onshore. Our approach integrates surface geology, well log data and 3D seismic. We apply our advanced seismic interpretation work flow to detect and classify potential drilling hazards around the planned well paths and suggest measures how to avoid them.
Notting Hill Geoconsulting was founded by Kai Gruschwitz in early 2018 and has provided its geophysical services to its clients ever since. Kai is a German-born British Geophysicist with a successful 30 year international career in oil and gas exploration with Shell, Petro-Canada, Equinor, Lukoil, Westwood and Helium One.
Kai's wide expertise in geophysics and geology and deep knowledge of seismic data allows him to apply advanced interpretation methods initially developed for oil and gas exploration to emerging business areas like for example Helium Exploration and Nuclear Waste Storage site determination.
Our approach is different as we work together with the customer to identify what really adds value to them and focus our efforts accordingly.
"Mr Gruschwitz is a very strong technical geophysicist, he has an excellent understanding of AVO, rock physics, processing and seismic interpretation. He is a very thorough and detailed interpreter, he is innovative and creative. He always does his best effort and does not cut corners and is a very proficient prospector"
